Lowell Aplebaum, CAE

Nonprofit Organization Management Consultant
A national association leader, Lowell has worked extensively in the field of volunteer management including authoring a chapter in ASAE’s Professional Practices in Association Management, 3rd edition and Co-Executive Editor and contributing author of the ASAE Component Relations Handbook, 2nd edition. He has consulted with organizations on value creation, strategic planning, affiliate relations and volunteer advancement and has presented on membership trends, multi-generational inclusion and volunteer engagement. He has served as COO of a national association and held senior membership positions at several organizations. Lowell was selected as one of the Forty under 40 by the Association Forum of Chicagoland and USAE and was chosen as one of Association Trends 2013 Young & Aspiring Professionals. Lowell has a M.A. in Education and a B.A. in Sociology.

Mike Collins

The Perfect Workday Company
Mike is an award-winning presenter to a wide range of associations, corporations, and government agencies. He is the author of The Perfect Workday and 5 other books.  He has written more than 300 articles for local, regional, and national publications. Mike focuses on dealing with change (I Didn't Sign On For This!) and time management (Getting It All Done). He presents over 100 programs annually for organizations including IBM, American Express, Pepsi-Cola and Duke University Medical Center. He is a guest lecturer in the nationally-ranked Executive Master’s Program at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Public Health. Mike has a Bachelor’s Degree in Radio, Television and Motion Pictures from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master’s Degree from Duke University with a focus on caregiver well-being.

Bryce Gartner

Lauren Hefner, MPA, CAE

Lauren has been in the membership sector of the association world since she was 16. She has worked with both trade and professional associations large and small. She’s a past chair of the ASAE Young Professionals Committee, and has previously served on the Greater Washington Committee as Vice Chair for ASAE’s Association of the Future project. She currently serves on the ASAE Healthcare Committee and the Virginia SAE CAE committee. She’s an active presenter for ASAE conferences including Great Ideas, Association Management Week, MMCC, and the Annual Meeting. She passed the CAE exam at age 28 and has served as a trainer and mentor for numerous candidates since.

Jeff is a Fellow of ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership, served on the ASAE Board of Directors from 2007-2010 and currently serves on ASAE’s Key Consultants Committee. Jeff also served on the RedRover Board of Directors from 2011-2013, as both board chair and vice chair during that time. A graduate of Johns Hopkins and Harvard universities, Jeff has pursued executive education at the MIT Sloan School of Management, Oxford University and Harvard Business School, and he holds the BoardSource Leadership Certificate for Nonprofit Board Chairs.

Rebecca Tippett, Ph.D.

Dr. Trippett translates demographic and economic data into specific, usable information and knowledge to inform decision-making, evaluation, and policy. Rebecca works with a diverse array of clients, including non-profit organizations, government agencies, private industry, and individual citizens. Her work has included forecasting population trends to determine the demand for new schools, identifying target locations for new businesses, evaluating population estimation methods for the U.S. Census Bureau, and examining demographic and labor market factors associated with employee turnover. She regularly writes and presents about the impact of demographic and social trends in North Carolina.

Aaron Wolowiec, MSA, CAE, CMP, CTA

Aaron is a talented and passionate association learning strategist and meetings coach whose diverse achievements guide and propel association goals and initiatives, especially as they relate to education. Aaron has more than a decade of experience in the meetings industry, and has taught for three years at a Michigan college. Aaron earned the CAE, CMP and CTA designations and a master's degree in administration from Central Michigan University (with a concentration in leadership). He is an Association for Talent Development Master Instructional Designer. An active member of ASAE, Aaron is vice chairman of the Professional Development Section Council, as well as past chairman of the Young Association Executives Committee and a 2009-2011 Diversity Executive Leadership Program scholar.
